🚓 Op Aurora – Speed Enforcement Update

As part of Operation Aurora, PCSO Fletcher carried out speed enforcement today across several villages following community concerns about speeding on rural roads. Activity took place in Kinlet, Buttonoak, Chelmarsh and Highley, with strong levels of compliance observed.

📍 Results from Today’s Checks

•     Kinlet – 30mph zone
• 50 vehicles checked
• Average speed: 27.8mph
• 3 vehicles were over the limit

•     Buttonoak – 30mph zone
• 60 vehicles checked
• Average speed: 26.2mph

•     Highley – 30mph zone
• 40 vehicles checked
• Average speed: 25.1mph

•     Chelmarsh – 40mph zone
• 66 vehicles checked
• Average speed: 33.5mph

These checks support Op Aurora’s focus on visibility, reassurance, and reducing harm on our roads. Most drivers were travelling within the posted limits, and enforcement will continue across the area to keep our communities safe.
